  • Minimum Age
    • 16 years old (exception may be made through special application for drivers as young as 12 with experience).
    • Drivers 12-15 years old may not drive between 12am and 5am.
    • Drivers under 18 must have a special waiver signed in person by their parent or legal guardian at the track as witnessed by an Endurance Karting representative.  If the parent or legal guardian cannot be present at the track, the waiver form (available from Endurance Karting) can be signed by the parent of legal guardian in the presence of a registered notary and notarized prior to the event.  No minor will be allowed to participate in any on track activities without a completed waiver on file.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Conditioning
    • Karting is a physical sport that requires drivers to be in good shape both physically and mentally. In order to complete the multiple long stints required for this race over a 24-hour period, drivers must be in optimal health. Failure of a driver to be in proper physical or mental shape can potentially result in severe injury or death. Make sure you get plenty of rest leading up to and during the event.
    • Each driver, by entering a kart and beginning a stint, warrants to Endurance Karting that they are healthy, alert, and capable of maintaining proper control of the kart for the duration of that stint.
    • Each team is responsible for monitoring the condition of its members. Any team member who is not capable of maintaining proper control of the kart for the duration of the planned stint must not be permitted to enter the kart.
    • Any driver who becomes uncomfortable with their continued ability to safely complete a stint must pit immediately for a replacement driver.
  • Experience
    • This is a “next level” event beyond normal arrive and drive races. Drivers must either have significant experience or attend the school the day preceding the race. Drivers are expected to be able to maintain sufficient pace and use proper racing etiquette such that they do not create a collision hazard for other participants or unreasonably interfere with the outcome of the race.  Any driver unable to maintain a lap time within 108% of the class leader’s lap time or who makes erratic moves or follows unpredictable lines on track is subject to restriction of driving time at the discretion of Endurance Karting.
    • The ELO Class requires even more experience as the karts are fragile and almost any contact will result in damage to the chassis and time in the pits. 5+ years’ experience racing karts is recommended for all drivers in the class.
