8 days, 7 nights Central Calif backroads and wineries tour (Apr 27 – May 4, 2025)

Sun (4/27) – early morning depart from Temecula to Paso Robles via hwy 5, 166, 33 and 58. Lunch in Taft. Approx 300mi

Sun-Thur; 4 nights at Oxford Suites (south end of old Paso Robles). Hosted welcome dinner at nearby Italian restaurant.

Mon 4/28 – mid morning drive to Morro Bay for picnic lunch at the beach. Approx 60mi round trip. Afternoon hosted winetasting in local Paso Robles.

Tues 4/29 – possible drive north on 101 through Lake Nacimiento over coastal mountains to hwy 1, south to ragged point restaurant or Cambria for lunch. Hwy 46 back to Paso Robles. Approx 140mi round trip.

Wed 4/30 – leisure day, optional drive tour or afternoon winetasting in Paso Robles.

Thur 5/1 – visit Warbird museum in the morning, leave Paso Robles going south through several backroads to Solvang. Approx 120mi

Thur-Sat; 3 nights at Solvang Inn & Cottages (middle of Solvang).

Fri 5/2 – backroad drive to possible Vandenberg Air Force base visit and tour

Sat 5/3 - winetasting in Santa Ynez valley with a short backroad drive beforehand. Hosted farewell dinner in Solvang.

Sun 5/4 – drive back to Temecula. Approx. 215mi

Tour cost includes 7 nights accomodation, two hosted dinners, two hosted winetastings (Paso Robles and Santa Ynez valley), entranace fee to Warbird museum and Vandenberg AF base tour.
